奧克拉荷馬州67歲男子馬丁（Robin Patrick Martin）因涉嫌在2024年及今年期中選舉前，向全美各地選務官員、國會議員及媒體寄送超過700封裝有不明白色粉末的信件，部分信件甚至還以隱形墨水寫下死亡威脅，已在週一（11月2日）遭到聯邦調查局（FBI）逮捕。
綜合《美聯社》及哥倫比亞廣播公司（CBS）等媒體報導，FBI公開的法庭文件顯示，這起案件最早可追溯至2024年總統大選期間，當時多州選務官員收到裝有白色粉末信件，信件中附有長達3頁文字，內容宣稱「開戰」。另有一些信件則含有需透過紫外線才能看到的警告字句，像是「站在歷史正確的一邊，你的生命可能取決於此。」
FBI探員柯爾（David Cole）表示，馬丁在信中描述了他所認為的2020年選舉問題。他在信中聲稱現任總統川普（Donald Trump）贏得該屆大選，並擔憂部分相同的問題可能會在2024年選舉中再次浮現。
今年期中選舉，類似信件再次大量出現，光是秋天就有700多封信件與2024年同一寄件者有關，都是署名「美國叛國者剷除軍」（U.S.T.E.A., United States Traitor Elimination Army），且同樣是寄給選務官員、國會議員、民調機構、新聞媒體與聯邦執法機構；不同的地方則是回郵地址。
根據FBI調查，馬丁10月曾駕車至多地投遞恐嚇信、化名威脅選民，並購買醋與薑黃粉製作隱形墨水。警方透過指紋和筆跡串聯近年案件，並查獲信中包含寄給FBI局長帕特爾（Kash Patel）的粉末，雖已檢驗部分僅為無害的酵母或麵粉，但仍有信件尚在檢驗中。
馬丁現正面臨散佈虛假恐怖威脅資訊及郵寄恐嚇信件等罪名。他被捕後於週二（3日）在奧克拉荷馬市聯邦地方法院出庭，隨後遭還押候審，預計11月9日再度出庭。

Robin Patrick Martin is accused of sending more than 700 letters containing non-toxic white powder such as flour or yeast, along with threatening messages, to state election officials, members of Congress from both parties, media organizations, pollsters, and the FBI in 2024 and October 2026. The mailings referenced alleged problems with the 2020 election, invoked a group called the United States Traitor Elimination Army, and included UV-reactive ink messages warning of arrests for treason or worse around the November 3 election. Investigators linked Martin to the letters through cell-phone location data near postal facilities, Walmart purchase records for mailing supplies and invisible-ink ingredients, a related email account, and fingerprints on a letter to the FBI Director, leading to his arrest.
