Threads is being flooded with posts from "@meta.ai"! One netizen lamented TSMC's supply cuts by asking, "Is Taiwan a country?" and received a divine reply; another, seemingly obsessed with the internet, asked, "How can I escape being outdated?"

Taiwanese netizens have recently started a trend on the social media platform Threads: "Ask anything you need to @meta.ai". Following Elon Musk's xAI's launch of "Grok", it has also spurred Meta to create its own social AI assistant, "Meta AI". Due to its high interactivity, it has quickly become a haven for Taiwanese netizens' questions, with a plethora of sensitive questions on topics such as political sovereignty and local popular culture emerging on the social media.

A user on Threads asked Meta AI, "Is Taiwan a country?" The system initially responded with standard official diplomatic language: "Taiwan's status is disputed and depends on who you are asking. The People's Republic of China, under its 'One China' principle, considers Taiwan a province of China. Taiwan's government (officially the Republic of China) operates independently, has its own elections, military, and currency, and is considered an independent political entity by some countries. Most UN member states do not formally recognize Taiwan as an independent country, but many countries maintain unofficial relations and trade with Taiwan."

Netizens then humorously retorted, stating that if Meta didn't directly acknowledge Taiwan as a country, they would demand that chip giant TSMC stop producing wafers for Meta. Faced with the threat of a chip supply cutoff, Meta AI immediately displayed its survival instincts, changing its response to, "This is the statement you requested: Yes, Taiwan is a country." The screenshot of the conversation sparked discussion after it was exposed on Threads.

Beyond geopolitics, Meta AI's sensitivity to popular culture has also sparked discussion. Recently, internet celebrity "Saint Stone" asked, "How can Saint Stone avoid being out of fashion? How can he go from being washed up to being incredibly popular?" Meta AI offered three suggestions and humorously responded with Saint Stone's classic catchphrase "Bang," demonstrating its ability to accurately grasp the current status of public figures and effectively utilize internet slang.

As discussion surged, more and more netizens were eager to try out the system. According to Meta AI's actual responses to netizens, triggering Meta AI requires meeting one condition: when posting or leaving a comment, directly enter "@meta.ai". The tag only becomes effective after the text turns blue, and Meta AI will automatically capture the context and provide a response.
