South Korean actors Jo In-sung and Cha Tae-hyun are close friends. They have co-hosted the Korean variety show "Accidental President" and starred in the Disney+ Korean drama "Moving Ability". They were also in the same agency SidusHQ. Now they have jointly established a new agency "basecamp company" (베이스캠프컴퍼니, tentative translation).
"Basecamp company" means that when artists are climbing to the top or exploring new areas, the agency can become a reliable backer that provides stable support and moves forward with them. This is the second time after Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae that artists have joined hands to set up a management company.
This news surprised and delighted fans, and many people left comments online such as "He really became the president" and "I want to watch the Vlog of being the one-day president."
It is understood that Zhao In-sung's contract with NS E&M (formerly known as IOK Company), with which he had worked for 13 years, expired and he will not renew the contract; Cha Tae-hyun also ended his contract with Blossom Entertainment in January this year.
