to the president of franceMacronAt the invitation, 21 leaders and senior officials from the United States, Canada and Europe, including German Chancellor Scholz, Dutch Prime Minister Rutte and British Foreign Secretary Cameron, arrived in Paris on Monday to attend a meeting to support Ukraine at the Elysee Palace. Macron's office said the meeting would not be used as an occasion to announce the delivery of new weapons to Ukraine, but rather to brainstorm ideas to strengthen coordination between allies and Ukraine. Macron's foreign affairs adviser Boehner said that the meeting will demonstrate the determination of the allies and Ukraine to do everything possible to defeat Russia. He believes that the meeting will help solve the key issue of providing financial and military support to Ukraine. France and Ukraine signed a ten-year bilateral security agreement last Friday, committing to provide an additional 30 billion euros in support to Kyiv this year, continue to provide more weapons, equipment and ammunition, expand the scale of assistance in training the Ukrainian army, and assist in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
