U.S. President Trump (Donald Trump) In addition to launching a tariff war after taking office, he is also rumored to be considering launching an unprecedented travel ban that could affect citizens from as many as 43 countries entering the United States, more countries than Trump restricted during his first term.

The New York Times reported last Friday (March 3) that the draft list prepared by the US diplomatic and security departments is divided into three groups, totaling 14 countries. Among them, the countries whose citizens are completely banned from entering the United States are the "red group", which includes 3 countries including Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen.

Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Turkmenistan are included in the "orange group". Citizens of these countries must undergo a mandatory physical interview to obtain a U.S. visa and may face partial restrictions on traveling to the United States.

The last group on the list is the "yellow group", which gives these countries 60 days to address areas where the United States believes they have failed to fulfill their responsibilities. If no improvements are made, they may be moved to other groups with stricter prohibitions.

Anonymous officials involved in discussions of the travel ban said the State Department had drawn up the list weeks ago and that it may have been modified by the time it was sent to the White House.
