根據《路透社》報導，在普京單方面宣布停火的幾小時之後，他與莫斯科市長索比亞寧（Sergei Sobyanin）雙雙現身莫斯科救世主大教堂（Cathedral of Christ the Saviour）。與往年一樣，普京身穿一襲暗色西裝、搭配白襯衫與紅領帶，當東正教派牧首基里爾（Patriarch Kirill）高喊「基督復活了」，普京也同時在胸口劃上數次十字架。

另一方面，澤倫斯基則趁復活節呼籲國人堅持信念，強調即使戰爭已持續1152天，也不應放棄和平終將實現的希望。他在一段上傳至X的影片中說道，烏克蘭永遠不會失去信心，「因為這份信心是對於彼此、您身旁的人、烏克蘭男男女女。（以及）對於邪惡或許有其時但上帝終將勝利的信心。」
