綜合媒體報導，創世紀任務的核心計畫為「美國科學與安全平台」（American Science and Security Platform），由能源部（DOE）負責打造。
該平台將整合國家級超級電腦、聯邦科學資料集與研究設施，為研究人員提供高效能運算資源、AI 建模工具，以及訓練基礎科學模型所需的大量資料，以加速自動化研究流程。
平台預計在9個月內達到初步運作能力，聚焦於能源部未來60天內將公布的20項優先科學挑戰中的至少一項。這些優先領域涵蓋先進製造、生物技術、關鍵材料、核能、量子運算與半導體，均是美中競爭下的戰略重點。
