Popular K-pop boy group Stray Kids is about to see its first member enlist since debut, and the one temporarily stepping away from the stage is Lee Know, known within the group for his cool looks, witty comebacks, and “cat-like” personality. His agency JYP Entertainment announced on Thursday (November 5) that Lee Know is expected to fulfill his mandatory military service in the first quarter of 2027, and may be absent from some group schedules, prompting fans to start paying close attention to his activities before enlistment.
Lee Know is expected to enlist in the first quarter of next year, becoming the first member of the group to fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service. In addition to his dancing prowess on stage, he is known for his striking looks and has been called a “sculpted handsome man.” Off stage, he loves cats and often shows his humorous side when interacting with bandmates, and his contrasting personality is beloved by fans. He just celebrated his 28th birthday on the 25th of last month, and his Instagram birthday post had racked up nearly 1.5 million likes as of recently, demonstrating his immense popularity.
As a core lead dancer of the group, Lee Know has also released the solo single “Limbo” in addition to group works, and performed his solo song “Youth” at concerts. He has collaborated with bandmate Bang Chan on “Drive,” released “Want so BAD” with HAN, and formed the sub-unit Danceracha with Hyunjin and Felix, performing the song “TASTE,” showcasing a range of musical styles.
In a statement released on the 5th, JYP Entertainment noted that before officially enlisting, Lee Know will continue to stay connected with fans through various content and individual activities, but may be absent from some group schedules; his exact enlistment date will be announced later.
Stray Kids is set to perform at the Taipei Dome for the first time on December 12 with their world tour, “Stray Kids World Tour .” According to the currently announced schedule, the Taipei show is not among the first-quarter 2027 dates that Lee Know may miss.
